About Reilly
Hi, I’m Reilly — welcome!
I help people build real confidence in English, with lessons that are friendly and relaxed, but always have a clear plan behind them.
Out of the classroom, you'll usually find me training for something — swimming, coaching, or chasing the next challenge.
My story
A bit about me
I’m a native English speaker, a husband, and a dad of two girls. Teaching, coaching and helping people build confidence have been part of my life for a long time — not just as a job, but as something I genuinely love doing.
Right now I work as a teacher aide, supporting students with their individual learning needs, and I’m also the co-owner of a swim school, where I’ve taught children and adults of every age, ability and confidence level. Before that, I taught guitar and worked as a personal trainer and coach. Different subjects, same idea: explain things clearly, be patient, and help people believe they can do it.
What got me into teaching English specifically was being a children’s teacher and wanting to show my own kids the value of knowing the world — that curiosity is what I try to bring into every lesson.
I’m also learning another language myself, so I know first-hand how exciting, difficult, and sometimes uncomfortable it can feel to learn one. That keeps me patient, and honestly, it keeps lessons more fun too.

How I teach
Friendly, but never unplanned
Lessons are relaxed — but they always have a clear purpose. Here’s the process behind every lesson.
Understand your goals
We start with what you actually want English for.
Assess your level
A relaxed check of your current strengths and gaps.
Build a simple plan
A personalised plan, made just for you — nothing generic.
Practise real English
Speaking, listening, and the situations you’ll actually use.
Get clear feedback
Supportive corrections that help, never discourage.
Review & adjust
We check progress regularly and adapt the plan as you improve.
“Mistakes are a normal, valuable part of learning — you should always feel comfortable making them here.”— Reilly
